Is John Deere still head and shoulders above the competition in quality and performance? - john deere backpack
I bought a Sears Craftsman MTS 5500th I compared against another pair of John Deere mowers. I think the competitors have finished with JD. However, JD is even more expensive. I wonder if the people the extra money for a genuine quality, perceived quality, or paint just the JD?

Only the green color, brand and higher prices. My Bolens lawn mower from Lowes, I have to sell the same engine as the John Deere to. Although some blankets to the reporting and other accessories to add the price is JD not better than anyone else, when we used to sell lawn mowers, JD was just mass residential use (from Sears). I had more service calls in the JD mower, and I had to make a small gathering, you say there is not much difference in general. Buy the mower with the features you want and go for the best price. The high-end machines that do not cost money and wait.
